Melbourne: Yarra Valley Wine Tour + Lunch & Gin/Beer Upgrade

4.9 (353 verified reviews)

About This Experience

Four hand-picked cellar doors, a gourmet two-course lunch with a complimentary glass of wine, and the option to swap the fourth tasting for gin or beer. On price and inclusions together it is the strongest lunch-included tour in the valley: cheaper than the one-course alternative, and one cellar door richer than most of the field.

A representative day runs Yering Station, a winery lunch stop, Helen & Joey Estate and Payten and Jones, finishing at the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie. Each cellar door usually pours five or six different wines, and the operator picks producers to span premium, iconic and boutique rather than repeating one house style.

Lunch is a shared antipasto for the table followed by an individual main, with a glass of wine included. It is the most substantial meal inside any ticket under $140 here.

The fourth tasting is where the flexibility lives. Take it as wine, take it as a glass of beer, or swap the venue entirely: Four Pillars Gin Distillery for a tasting flight is available seven days by selecting the Classic Wine & Gin option, and Watts River Brewery is available Thursday to Monday.

This is an adults-only tour -- the operator runs separate child-friendly packages. Group size is capped at 20 with a maximum of 8 per booking, and it is not suitable for guests with significant mobility limitations or for pregnant travellers.

Is this tour adults only?

Yes, 18 and over. The operator runs separate child-friendly packages for families.

Four hand-picked wineries, usually five to six different wines at each, chosen to span premium, iconic and boutique producers.

How big is the group?

A maximum of 20 guests, with a maximum of 8 people per booking.

Is the tour suitable for guests with limited mobility?

No. The operator states it is not suitable for guests with significant mobility limitations, nor for wheelchair users or pregnant travellers.
